so what do you do when tropical depression beryl tries to ruin memorial day weekend?!
you don’t let it!
after weather through the storm on sunday night (and introducing him to the joys of Ticket to Ride), sean and i decided to take advantage of the break in the clouds and off to wal-mart we went. an hour later we returned with 2 fantastic purchases! (insert: an amex roadbump and crossed fingers that they would both fit in touareg!)

lumpia: a fillipino fried treat that will make your heart skip with delight. introduced to me over new year’s and within walking distance of my house, only saving grace…they close at six seven days a week.

and happy year of the dragon! new year’s on lemon street was quite an event, starting with the RV rolling in around 3:30 and continuing until around 5am on New Year’s day. with a grandmother, 8 dogs, plenty of lumpia, jk scrumpys, dips by the dozen and a version of cornhole involving washers a marvelous time was had by all.
i’m not a big new year’s resolution person, preferring instead to stick to my ever increasing bucket list, however an episode of The Middle the other night struck me with a good idea. the family drew names and whoever’s name you received you had to create a new year’s resolution for them. interesting idea, what resolution would you make for someone? either way, lets make it a great year.
